Meet Theo Gerstle, MD

Dr. Theodore L. Gerstle is a native of New York with strong roots in the state of Kentucky. Though he has a large extended Kentucky family, he was born and raised in Westchester, New York. He has a long history of service, beginning in childhood as he joined the Boy Scouts of America, ultimately achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. He received his Bachelors of Science in Engineering Management at The United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.

After Dr. Gerstle’s military commitment was complete, he decided that medicine was the best way to continue helping others. He entered University of Louisville’s School of Medicine, was elected the President of his class each year he was there. He was awarded multiple awards, including acceptance into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. When Dr. Gerstle completed medical school, he was chosen to speak as the distinguished graduate at the University of Louisville’s graduation ceremony.

After graduation from medical school, he moved to Boston to train in the Harvard Combined Plastic Surgery Residency program. Dr. Gerstle also specializes in treatment for migraine headaches. Whether choosing conservative treatments like nerve blocks, Botox, or surgery in hope for a cure of these debilitating headaches, he is excited to offer these skills to the Bluegrass.

Dr. Gerstle performs facial rejuvenation, breast surgery, body contouring, emergency repair of lacerations, reconstructive surgery of the head, neck, chest, and breast. He believes every patient is unique and provides personalized consultations to discuss the least invasive options to achieve tasteful, natural looking results, while utilizing a detailed and sensitive approach to patients of all ages.
