Who Is Lexington Dr. Gerstle?

Dr. Theo Gerstle is the only Harvard-trained plastic surgeon in Lexington, Kentucky. He is known for his state-of-the-art techniques, which he honed alongside many of the country’s most respected plastic surgeons in Harvard’s Combined Plastic Surgery Residency Program.

Dr. Gerstle attended the United States Military Academy (West Point), majoring in Engineering Management. Gerstle has deep family roots in the Bluegrass, and while he was raised in New York, he has always felt like Kentucky was “his place” and Kentuckians were “his people.” He returned to the area for medical school at the University of Louisville, where he was elected class president every year and honored as the distinguished graduate. He then completed a residency at Harvard and returned to Lexington to open his surgical centers.
